K's been working on place value during this first week back of the year and has been having fun with a Scoop and Sort activity.
You simply need something to use as manipulatives (to scoop and sort) and some small cups or other device to do the scooping with.
I also printed off a copy of this scoop and sort activity so that K could place her sorted manipulatives in the tens and ones columns and then record her findings.
Simple but is helping with her place value understanding.
